In the Degelen mountain range in Kazakhstan, we carried out works on detection of deserted drifts. Fig. 1 shows radargrams of GPR sections where a deserted drift is registered at 44, 47 and 50 meter depths. The radargrams show drifts as specific radio images, i.e. hyperboles.
The examination was carried out with the LOZA N GPR equipped with a 5 kV transmitter and 25 MHz antennas. The drift
detection results were confirmed by geological drills.
